Windlooper Holsteins is a small farm near Emden in Ostfriesland in the north part of Germany. We are living very close to the north sea and to the dutch border. The area has the unmistakable characteristics: shining colors, always a fresh breeze, lighthouses and windmills, fields of rape and great holsteins grazing in green meadows. The typical trees which are bowed to the ground from the strong north sea breeze are called "Windlooper" (windrunner). That´s where our name comes from.

Our breed philosophy is very easy. We like deep solid pedigrees with high classifications and long lasting cows generation after generation. We think, canadian blood lines can fulfill our needs the best. We like good type and we take our heifers to shows where ever we can.

We buy and develop about 10 heifers per year and sell them again. We do not milk any cows so each animal is always for sale. If you are looking for a nice showheifer with a nice pedigree, just let us know. We may have what you are looking for.
